Teacher educator, daydream believer, and a homecoming queen!
I support teachers in discovering the dynamic resources that are available for teaching and learning through multimodal literacies. I provide a range of professional development offerings as outlined from past presentations here. I absolutely love the look of words and literacies for learning! Let's talk!
I'm an Associate Professor of Middle and Secondary Education at Asbury University in central Kentucky. Prior to becoming a teacher educator, I enjoyed more than a decade teaching English and beginning French at the middle school level. Sixth grade will always be my home away from home!
I recently completed my doctorate in Literacy, Culture, & Language Education with a minor in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University. My research interests explore the intersections between multimodal literacies and technology as powerful pedagogical resources for developing teachers.
My husband and I are the proud parents of three amazing, creative young adults. We currently live in the bluegrass state with two very spunky golden doodles and about a dozen chickens, but you won't find me in the coop;)!
